Tangerine essential oil:
- Has a positive impact on digestion;
- Has a relaxing effect. It can be vaporised before sleep for both adults and children;
- Can help prevent stretch marks and scars;
- Due to its antiseptic qualities it is recommended for oily and acne-prone skin;
- Used in cosmetic products against wrinkles.
How to use tangerine essential oil safely?
Drop 2–6 drops into a diffuser, aromatherapy candle or other vaporising device. If you don't have one, you can put it on a napkin and place it on the radiator, or add it to a pan of hot water.
For a massage for baby belly bloating, it is recommended to make a 2% mixture of tangerine and almond oils and massage the tummy clockwise. This blend can be used for massaging adults as well.
For cosmetics, add drops according the chosen recipe. Don’t put too much.
Tangerines, as the other citrus fruit, may not be suitable for people with allergies. If you do not notice any allergy to citruses or it only occurs after a strong multiplication of these fruits, start with 1-2 drops for massage or cosmetics.
Do not use it on newborns or during the first 3 months after birth.
How to combine with other oils?
The benefits of this oil will reveal when mixed with other citruses. If you want to make a mixture for stretch marks, it is recommended to mix 1 drop each of lavender, mandarin and neroli essential oils with 10 ml of basic almond oil and 2 ml of wheat midds oil.
For acne-prone skin, mixing with apricot kernel, jojoba or other base oils suitable for oily skin is recommended. Add 1-2 drops of mandarin essential oil to 50 ml of oil.
Essential oils are not medicine. Their effects are researched and, due to the EU's control of health claims, we cannot provide a full description of their properties.
