100% Essential Oils Patchouli 10 ml
Patchouli essential oil (Pogostemon cablin) is made from dried leaves, and has a rather thick consistency and dark brown colour. The scent is very intensive, spicy and long-lasting; it reminds of wood and oriental scents. Often used in perfumes and incense. Its antiseptic properties make it a favourite with beauticians and masseurs.
Patchouli essential oil:
- ideal for scenting rooms and closets;
- used to repel moths;
- has calming, relaxing and antidepressant properties;
- used in oily hair care and antidandruff products;
- recommended for acne-prone, chapped, dry, rosacea-prone skin;
- does not irritate the skin;
- is often classified as an aphrodisiac because it enhances sensuality.
Not everyone likes patchouli essential oil, so first make sure that the scent is pleasant to you. If you like it but it annoys your family, you can combine it in mixtures. Please also note that the scent can remain on clothes even after washing.
How to use patchouli essential oil?
Drop 1-3 drops into a diffuser, aromatherapy candle or other vaporising device.
1-2 drops will also suffice for the bath, as the intense scent can cause headaches.
Add 1-3 drops to 30 or 50 ml of base oil for massage. Choose the number of drops according to the intensity of the scent you seek for.
For cosmetic purposes use it according to the instructions for the chosen recipe.
Do not use pure oil on the skin. Mix it with base oil or cream.
How to combine with other oils?
In perfumery, you can choose it as a base, long-lasting note. For indoor scenting, match the scent you want to produce, and for massages, cosmetics and baths, match the effect you want to achieve. For example, you can mix it with orange and/or sandalwood oils for home fragrance. If you want to create a romantic atmosphere, blend it with rose essential oil. For problematic skin care, add patchouli and orange oils to the base oil.
